The Problem

When speed is critical,
but the result counts

In development, there is often exactly this gap: 3D printing is fast, but not identical to the series product. A series tool is precise, but too early and too expensive. This is exactly where we come in.

⚠ Compromises
3D Printing
Fast and affordable — but mechanical properties deviate from series components. Functional tests have limited significance.

Technology

What sets our
approach apart

Modular Master Mold System
Our master mold system combines many basic functions of an injection mold. This allows us to reduce effort and concentrate manufacturing on the cavity.
Aluminum Tooling
We manufacture prototype tools from high-strength aluminum. This enables short lead times and tool life of up to 100,000 parts depending on geometry and plastic.
Original Materials, Near-Series Results
We process original materials so that the appearance and mechanical durability correspond to later series components. This ensures that tests are truly representative.
Special Processes
Insert technology and two-component injection molding are possible if your component requires it. We advise you on the optimal method.
Who is this ideal for?

Typical projects for
Prototype Injection Molding

Functional prototypes for testing and validation
Pre-series for pilot customers, trade fairs, investors, internal approval
Components where material properties are decisive
Projects with time pressure and clear scheduling
Optimal for approx. 10 to approx. 5,000 parts. For larger quantities, a small-series tool is often worthwhile.

FAQ

Common Questions,
Briefly Answered

Injection molding for prototypes is typically suitable for approximately 10 to 5,000 parts per project.

In this range, rapid tooling is particularly economical since no expensive series tooling is required, design changes are still possible, and realistic component tests can be performed.

Depending on the component, our aluminum prototype tools achieve a tool life of up to 50,000 parts and can therefore also be used for pre-series or pilot projects.
We manufacture prototypes from original materials, which are the same plastics that will be used later in series production.

Typical materials include ABS, PC, PA (nylon), POM, PP / PE, as well as technical compounds and specialty materials.

This ensures that mechanical properties, temperature resistance, and component behavior correspond to the later series parts.
Very close. In prototype injection molding with original materials, components are created with almost identical properties to those in later series production.
Yes. In addition to classic prototype injection molding, we also offer special processes such as insert technology and two-component injection molding (2K).
3D printing is ideal for very fast concept models or design studies. However, when material properties, dimensional accuracy, and functional tests are critical, prototype injection molding is usually the better solution.
Classic series tooling is usually only worthwhile for larger quantities and stable component geometries.
